Venezuelan Luis Arráez continues to achieve great feats in Major League Baseball (MLB), after winning his third consecutive batting title with different teams.
This Sunday, Arráez shot a double in his last at-bat of the regular season, to secure the batting title and become the first player in MLB to string together three seasons as a batting champion with three different teams.
He won the first crown in 2022 with the Minnesota Twins, the second in 2023 with the Miami Marlins and 2024 with the San Diego Padres.
The Venezuelan reached an AVG of .314 to beat his rival Shohei Ohtani, of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who was left with .310.
Arráez joined Miguel Cabrera as the only Venezuelans to win three consecutive batting titles (2011 to 2013).
