MACCAR announced the second edition of the workshop “The Book as an Art Object” in Caracas

Representatives of the Library of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas (MACCAR) announced the second edition of their workshop “The Book as an Art Object — Module 2", an opportunity to discover the book beyond its traditional function.

This intensive course, led by facilitator Gloria Rojas, will transform the way participants perceive the book, turning it into a tool for artistic and personal expression. It is an invitation to break with the conventional and to embrace the book as a three-dimensional canvas.

Throughout this module, attendees will immerse themselves in a creative process that ranges from conceptualization to materialization of their own book-object. The workshop focuses on plastic techniques such as engraving, monotype, templates and collage, tools that allow us to build a visual and tactile narrative.

The course is aimed at all audiences aged 12 and over, which opens doors to young people and adults alike. The sessions will be held every Wednesday starting September 17, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
