With a thanksgiving mass celebrated at its facilities, the Maracay Opera Theater (TOM) kicked off the commemorative week for its fifty-third anniversary.

The president of the Maracay Opera Theater , Sendy Romero, said that the celebration is a moment of gratitude to those who have contributed to the institution's history for more than five decades. “Today we are in gratitude because this week marks the 53rd anniversary of the founding of Tom. From here we honor all the people who have passed through this venue and who have elevated the art and culture of the state of Aragua,” he said, quoted by the local press.

Romero highlighted that the TOM represents one of the most important cultural heritages in the region and that, within the framework of this commemoration, a special program was designed free of charge for the public. The anniversary program includes a dance event closing for March 20, followed by a Salsera Night in the theater square.

53 years after its founding, the TOM continues to consolidate itself as one of the country's main cultural venues, where music, dance, theater and multiple artistic expressions that strengthen the cultural identity of Aragua and Venezuela converge.
