Mayor Di Martino: It was a historic victory!

This Tuesday, July 29, in the Maracaibo municipality of Zulia state, the elected mayor Gian Carlo Di Martino was proclaimed and received his credentials.

“It was a historic victory,” he pointed out and maintained that for the first time in the state, the four levels of Government are aligned: national, regional government, municipal government and organized Popular Power.”

He added that the commitment to Maracaibo is great, since it must transform the city that is mired in a deteriorated situation with garbage in its streets and dark streets.

“We have a commitment to the people, they can't wait any longer, we have to govern with the people and govern now. There are a lot of expectations and those expectations must be met with hard work,” he said.

In that sense, he said that “we have to make an effort and you leave the divisions. There are no excuses anymore, it's just us and the victory was overwhelming for 13 councilors, we consolidated 11 councilors”

He emphasized that “we came to govern with the People's Power, with the openness that Maracaibo needs, which today is unfortunately in a deteriorated situation; we have to make an effort and leave the divisions, there are no more excuses of any kind.”
