The Guaicaipura municipality, in Miranda state, achieved a historic 95% reduction in the homicide rate thanks to the implementation of the Guaicaipura Plan 2025-2031, said the mayor of this municipal body, Farith Fraija.
In the Al Aire program, which broadcasts Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he specified that, compared to the 138 violent deaths recorded in previous years, the 2025 period closed with just nine cases, of which the majority have immediate police resolution.
Fraija stressed that this achievement responds to a harmonious policy between the National, Regional and Municipal Government, which prioritizes citizen tranquility through the deployment of cutting-edge technology and coordinated work with the Peace Quadrants.
In terms of technological innovation, he pointed out that the city has more than 400 security cameras, of which 378 exclusively protect the Los Teques parish due to its high population density.
He also explained that the goal for this year is to cover 100% of parishes with surveillance systems connected directly to the SOS Guaicaipura operating room.
In the same way, the mayor highlighted the installation of five intelligent stops that have emergency buttons and Artificial Intelligence modules to strengthen local identity and facilitate the use of digital passage between carriers.
Regarding the Health System, Fraija said that the municipal network already has 27 rehabilitated centers that guarantee the care of more than 10,000 people every month throughout the territory, offering 24-hour service, which makes it possible to decongest emergencies in large healthcare centers such as the Victorino Santaella Hospital.
He recalled that the Guaicaipura municipality is an essential productive power for the country, since 25% of the items sold in the Car Market come from their land, an effort that translates into open-air markets to ensure food for the people.
