Mayor Meléndez inspected rehabilitation works in the San Agustín parish

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported on the progress in the rehabilitation works being carried out in the Lime Kilns sector in the San Agustín parish, an initiative that seeks to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and revitalize the urban environment.

In a message published on his account of the social network X, he explained that the restoration of the town includes the restoration of the emblematic Octagonal of San Agustín, which ranges from the repair of the structure to the renovation of surfaces, this with the aim of guaranteeing its functionality and embellishment, to turn it into a decent space for the community.

In addition, Meléndez reported that they will completely renovate the three sports fields in the town, while several streets will be intervened to ensure the movement of families in the area, tasks that include leveling surfaces, installing new baskets and repairing pavements.

He also noted that obsolete pipes have been replaced throughout the area and an exhaustive waterproofing and replacement of the roofs have been carried out, this not only prevents leaks and damage, but also contributes to the long-term sustainability of local homes, in addition.

He added that the streets, sidewalks and facades will also be painted and restored in response to the needs expressed by the community.

The mayor reiterated her commitment to personally oversee these works until their conclusion.
