Mayor Meléndez: Operation Caracas Smile will recover 90 schools

Mayor Carmen Meléndez announced that Operation Caracas Smile will be deployed this week to carry out recovery and maintenance work in at least 90 schools in the capital city.

The announcement was made during the Operation Caracas Smile assembly, held at the Fabricio Ojeda Endogenous Development Center, located in Sucre parish.

“In this way, we guarantee a return to school in the best spaces for children, young people and their educational communities,” said Meléndez.

The mayor also indicated that Camp 7T will resume next week, as part of coordination efforts with communities. “We're still on the streets,” he added.

The work will include cleaning, repair of services, adaptation of spaces and coordination with local teams.
