With the objective of guaranteeing free movement and attention to citizens, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, oversaw the special mobility deployment that covered the 22 parishes of the capital city.

The measure comes as an immediate response to the situation with surface transport in the country's main city.

From the early hours of the morning, various institutions and entities attached to the Mayor's Office of Caracas, working together with the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), took action to strengthen this contingency plan.

Meléndez reported through his Telegram channel that this multidisciplinary effort has made it possible to maintain normality in the city's different terrestrial terminals.

The operation is carried out in close coordination with the Ministry of People's Power for Transport, in order to ensure that the flow of passengers remains constant and efficient despite the reported inconveniences.

“We continue to follow instructions from our president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, with her support in everything necessary to provide service to all passengers,” he said.

The deployment will remain active as long as necessary to ensure that workers, students and the wider community can move smoothly to their destinations.

The authorities called for calm and for trust in official information channels while normalizing the entire surface transportation system.
