This Tuesday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Aragua proclaimed Rafael Morales as elected mayor of the Girardot municipality, who assured that his administration will be guided by the Aragueñity plan. “We are going to work without excuses, with transparency and closeness to the people. We will not disappoint the trust they have given us,” he said.

In his speech, Morales thanked Governor Joana Sánchez for her support and reaffirmed her commitment to the people, assuring that she will have a model of government built from the 26 communal self-government rooms in the municipality. “The mayor's office will become the 27th room of self-government,” he said.

In addition, he called on councilors to work directly in communities, stressing that their role should not be limited to the municipal palace, but should be extended to the popular base. “Our councilors have 26 offices: the self-government rooms where the people decide,” he said.

Morales also ratified his alignment with the national Government, assuring that his administration will follow the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro and will actively participate in coordinating bodies such as the Federal Government Council. “We are not here on a whim, we have a revolutionary plan to fulfill,” he said.
