In response to the needs of the community of Las Tejerías in the state of Aragua following the earthquakes that affected Venezuela on June 24, the municipality's Mental Health Brigade was deployed, with the objective of providing emotional restraint and emotional management tools for first responders.

In this regard, the director of the Mental Health Brigade of Las Tejerías, Lizyani Páez, said that “aware that reconstruction is not only structural, but also emotional, the brigade has prioritized the training and care of those who care, as directed by the mayor”, Régulo La Cruz.

In this regard, he specified that, during the days following the earthquakes, intensive Psychological First Aid workshops have been held, specifically designed to provide practical tools to staff in the social area, teachers and administrative staff of various government institutions.

The objective of these trainings is to multiply the scope of care in crisis, allowing teachers in classrooms, social workers in communities and administrative staff in institutions to identify warning signs, manage situations of acute stress and provide a safe bridge to the emotional stability of children, young people and adults.
