As part of the second phase of the National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions and in Peace, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, visited the facilities of the producer Café Santa Cruz in the Antonio Pinto Salinas municipality of the state of Mérida.

During the tour, accompanied by national and regional authorities, the head of Parliament supervised the production process, as well as the needs and potentials of the company.

“We have received instructions from the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez to go deep into the national territory. Every city, every town, every space to accompany the People in the process of production, economic development, development of society, care for communities, for the population because you don't know the reality of Venezuela if you're in an office,” he said in statements to the media.

In this regard, he highlighted the need to explore every space to see the difficulties, in the case of Mérida, caused by the climate emergency.

“If you see this wonder, this Santa Cruz roaster (...) the whole process from green coffee until it comes out ground, all made with a national industry, produced right here in Venezuela, to its workers, to its managers, then you can go to Caracas and in Caracas to be able to work everything we have received on this pilgrimage,” he said.
