Metro Los Teques performs corrective maintenance on Carrizalito Tunnel rails

With the objective of optimizing the operational safety of the railway system in the Altos Mirandinos, the technical staff of the Los Teque Metro successfully replaced 21.30 meters of bearing rails on track 1 of the Carrizalito Tunnel.

The maneuver, which was part of an intense day of six continuous hours, also included the renewal of bindings and soles that had already completed their useful life cycle.

These material replacement tasks are carried out in a planned manner every 15 days to ensure railway stability and reduce waiting times for users on platforms.

The day is in addition to the institution's continuous maintenance policies, which made it possible to successfully complete the replacement of 370.45 meters of rolling rails on tracks 1 and 2 of the Carrizalito and Corral de Piedra tunnels during the second quarter of the year.

With these major actions, the company works for the protection and well-being of the region's inhabitants, consolidating safe and efficient mass transportation.
