In Mexico, the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF) validated this Monday, August 12, the presidential election that won the candidate Claudia Sheinbaum for the Morena party, by dismissing the opposition's questions.
The TEPJF endorsed the results of the elections in a public session held this August 12, in which it ruled out complaints about the alleged intervention of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, misuse of social programs, pressure from organized crime, among others, La Razón reported.
On the other hand, in another note on the aforementioned website, President Sheinbaum confirmed that during her term of office she will continue with the daily press conferences that the current president, López Obrador, began.
He specified that the meeting with the press will take place at 07:00 in the morning (local time) from Monday to Friday; but, in addition, he will meet with the Security Cabinet an hour earlier.
“They're going to have to get up early. I already made the decision at 06:00 in the morning in the Security Cabinet and at 07:00 in the morning,” said Sheinbaum, at a press conference.
The elected president explained that the National Palace of Mexico City will remain the location of these briefings; although she has not yet decided whether she will live there or continue to do so in her private home.
“I know that our opponents are going to say it's the same thing; but it organizes a lot to start very early, have the report and then dedicate itself to having the meetings for the progress of the different projects,” he said.
He indicated that on the weekends he plans to “work with governors” and “review the actions, works and others” that they are going to carry out.
