Mexico: President Sheinbaum Refuses to Respond to Trump's Criticism

This Monday, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, during her usual press conference, warned that she will not respond to the accusations of her US counterpart, Donald Trump, regarding drug trafficking to avoid a media debate.

“I wouldn't want communication between President Trump and his servant, between the United States and Mexico, to be through the media and statements to the media (...) I wouldn't want a statement from me to come out now and appear in the newspaper and another reporter asks President Trump. Why create a disagreement?” , he said, according to detailed information by Russia Today (RT).

In context, the president assured that the talks with the United States have been fluid and that “we have a lot of agreements and others that there is no agreement, but we are in constant dialogue. It's normal and natural.”
