MINCYT awards the children and young people who won the national final of the World Robotics Olympiad 2026

The Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT) brought together 257 girls, boys and young people from 12 states of the country at the facilities of the Military Circle of Caracas, where the long-awaited national final of the WRO Venezuela 2026 World Robotics Olympiad was held.

This national event represented the culmination of a territorial deployment that began in the month of September, during which eight days of regional competitions were held in entities such as Miranda, Trujillo, Táchira, Nueva Esparta, Carabobo, Anzoátegui and Zulia.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil Pinto; the sectoral vice-president of Health, Science, Technology and Ecosocialism, Isabel Iturria; and the Deputy Minister for the Communalization of Science for Production, Danmarys Hernández.

During the meeting, Gil Pinto highlighted the pride and work carried out, as well as the effort and dedication to carry out each project, where experiences have made it possible to build valuable knowledge.

“The pride that comes from seeing young people, seeing girls creating solutions for daily life, every day we will have new challenges to solve,” he said.

On behalf of the President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, Minister Gil Pinto congratulated all the participants for taking up the challenge and contributing to the strengthening of national scientific culture.

In addition, the head of the MINCYT highlighted that these Olympics constitute a platform to promote emerging talent and consolidate the work of the National Scientific Seed Program, an initiative that promotes early education in strategic areas of science and technology.

“Today we are going to reward and recognize everyone's efforts. They are an example for all other boys and girls,” he said.

For her part, the sector vice-president of Health, Science, Technology and Ecosocialism, Isabel Iturria, stressed that a collective task is required to achieve extraordinary results, thanking the support of parents, tutors and teachers for their teamwork.

“Robotics for life is not only that which interacts with the human body, in the end it is a way that what represents the future can be an opportunity for you to grow,” said the vice president, Mincyt press review.

The World Robotics Olympiad 2026 will be held in Puerto Rico from December 8 to 10, under the motto “Connecting the World”, challenging youth to explore how robotics helps to communicate, transport and connect communities.

Below are the official results of WRO 2026:

In the Robotic Sports category, first place was achieved by Los Trembos (Carabobo), followed by Leai (Carabobo) in second place and Eighth Wonder (Miranda) in third place.

In Future Engineers, the Prometheus Team (Barinas) won first place, accompanied by NCP2 (Miranda) in second position and Redmachine (Zulia) in third place.

In Robotic Missions, Elementary category, the awards went to Hacker Bros. (Zulia) in first place, Robotic Venezuela (Zulia) in second and Euletech ME (Zulia) in third.

In the Junior category, Bug Algorithms (Miranda), Back to Back (Anzoátegui) and Epic Team (Zulia) stood out; while in the Senior category, the first three places were occupied by RG Again (Anzoátegui), Tri Force CDB Tech (Anzoátegui) and Electrobots (Miranda).

Finally, in Innovative Futures, Elementary category, the honor roll was comprised of Las Ada Bots (Anzoátegui) in first place, Creatori del Futuro (Táchira) in second and Pequeoriones (Táchira) in third.

In the Junior category, the podium was made up of Anuwa Robotics (Zulia), Dicomm (Lara) and Creative Titans (Táchira); while in the Senior category, Golden Codex (Anzoátegui), Calyx (Zulia) and Series Innovators (Anzoátegui) were awarded.
