The Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) in the state of Lara, began, in its second week, the Science and Technology Vacation Plan 2026, benefiting a total of 72 young people from the Alí Primera Socialist City community in Barquisimeto, in a comprehensive agenda that addressed areas of knowledge such as creative robotics, programming, mechanics, electronics, chemistry, plant biotechnology, telecommunications and industrial safety.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), this pedagogical deployment is directly linked to the National Scientific Seed Program and to the sovereign policies of the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán.

The training approach began in the spaces of the Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa Bolivarian Lyceum and the Prof. Julio Valero Roa National School. There, the participants integrated the Small Engineers Agenda, managing to assemble Ultimate 2.0 dynamic prototypes to acquire practical knowledge about electronics and mechanics, complemented by recreational, sports and social integration dynamics provided in perfect coordination with the Great Venezuela Youth Mission.

The agenda continued with a training and interactive tour at the headquarters of the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA) Lara. During the visit, the young people experimented directly at the Chemistry, Phytopathology and Plant Biotechnology stations, getting to know first-hand the technical and scientific processes that underpin national agri-food sovereignty.

To conclude the cycle, the activities were transferred to the Pata 'e Palo Telephone Center of the National Anonymous Telephone Company of Venezuela (CANTV). In this strategic facility, the students toured the Warehouse, Transportation, Transmission and External Plant management of the Technical Operations Management, analytically understanding the operation of the telecommunications infrastructure and the strict industrial safety protocols that guarantee the country's connectivity.
