Minister Cardillo: School Mini Athletics Festival brings together more than 830,000 boys and girls

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, announced that the School Mini Athletics Festival has attracted more than 830,000 boys and girls throughout the country, consolidating itself as a fundamental space for development, sports mass and physical activity.

During the day, she celebrated the accompaniment of the special envoy of the international federation (World Athletics), Silvia Mores, together with the president of the Venezuelan Athletics Federation, Sebastián Pavoni, highlighting the technical deployment that is being carried out simultaneously in the different regions of the country, the specialized press highlighted.

He pointed out that the policy of massification has extended its scope of action beyond traditional educational institutions, coordinating direct efforts with the Community Councils and local community structures to turn the popular sectors into the epicenter of Miniathletics.

“This athletics festival has fundamental elements for the physical and motor development of our children, because we work on basic motor skills such as running, throwing and jumping,” he added.
