This Saturday, August 30, the Minister of Popular Power for the Office of the President, Anibal Coronado, stressed that men and women who truly love the Homeland today continue to enlist throughout the national territory in this call made by President Nicolás Maduro in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela.

“This week we continue to enlist both men and women; whoever can enlist, come out (...) here are the true revolutionary men and women 100% committed to our homeland, committed to all our people (...) setting an example, knee on the ground, to continue fighting for this beautiful and beautiful homeland, which will always remain free and sovereign,” he said from Plaza Bolívar in Caracas.

He also recalled that last weekend the Venezuelan people went out on a beautiful day to begin this process of enlistment in defense of the Homeland, in the face of the threats and aggressions of imperialism.

He emphasized that today the men and women who enlist do so voluntarily and out of love for their country. “There is no one forced here, here in this Plaza Bolívar we are meeting true patriots, to whom we don't have to give the order to go defend Venezuela, no, Venezuela defends itself,” he said and pointed out that those who do not defend the country are an antihomeland like those that exist in sectors of the Venezuelan right.

In addition, he recalled that there are no recruits in Venezuela, “that ended here with Commander Hugo Chávez; now military service is voluntary.”
