This Sunday, March 22, the Minister of People's Power for Transportation, Jacqueline Fanía, inspected the Port of La Guaira to verify the progress in the infrastructure works carried out by the Bolivariana de Ports (BOLIPORTS) workforce.
These actions guarantee efficient and safe operation for shipping companies that use this strategic terminal to mobilize cargo necessary for national development.
The day was attended by the Deputy Minister of Water Transport, David Quintana, and made it possible to verify the optimization efforts. These actions guarantee the maximum operational capacity of the maritime terminal.
Currently, the facilities provide strategic care to more than seven international shipping companies that support the country's commercial exchange.
During the tour, Minister Fanía highlighted the positive impact of port rehabilitation on the nation's commercial dynamics and highlighted the role of the terminal as an articulating axis of productive growth.
“We are seeing how our port has been forging this new economy that the Homeland deserves. Of the 10 most important shipping lines in the world, seven already bring merchandise to Venezuela and we receive them with this great work carried out in Revolution,” he said.
He said that thanks to improvements in infrastructure, the Port of La Guaira increases its technical response capacity for maneuvers to dock and sail ships.
With this direct oversight, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its strategic roadmap, which consists of strengthening the national port system to consolidate economic sovereignty and provide first-rate logistics solutions to the nation's productive sectors.
