The president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of the Habitability of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister of Popular Power for Transportation (MPPT), Francisco Garcés, carried out a new inspection of the Boca de Yaracuy bridge, in the state of Falcón, as it is one of the five bridges affected in the area after the double earthquake of last June 24.
During the inspection, together with the governor of the entity, Víctor Clark, the minister evaluated the structural damage to the said bridge.
The information was released to them by the authorities through the social networks of the Government of the entity and the MPPT, in which they highlight that this bridge is the most affected of all, so a temporary detour is being worked on to avoid risks to the population.
During the day, the demolition work was planned together with the subsequent construction of the new structure that will replace the damaged viaduct on this important road artery.
On the La Pava viaducts north runway, El Paují north and south runway and Punta Brava with minor damage, corresponding signs were placed to slow down and regulate traffic.
Clark noted that from the outset of the event, both in Tucacas and in Boca de Aroa in the Silva municipality, work fronts were activated to ensure passability with Carabobo.
In addition, Minister Garcés went to the parish of Boca de Aroa, Silva municipality, in Falcón, to monitor the progress made by the Government of the entity on the 698 houses affected by the earthquakes.
