Minister Jacqueline Faria: Highway Angels protect road safety during Holy Week

The Minister of People's Power for Transportation, Jacqueline Faria, reported that this Monday, March 30, the Los Angeles Highway was deployed in order to protect road safety during the Holy Week season.

Faria highlighted that the Ángeles de la Autopista are the companions of the population on 220 kilometers of highway in Greater Caracas. “You are there to help, prevent, rescue and protect. We thank them and order the deployment to cover this Holy Week,” he said.

The Highway Traffic Restoration and Emergency Care Brigade will consist of officials and paramedics specialized in rescuing people who are affected by traffic accidents.

The authorities led the delivery of hydraulic tools, lifting equipment for rescue, stretchers and stabilization systems for vehicles.

“We remain committed to providing the necessary tools for our Highway Angels to continue their work of preventing, helping and saving lives, guaranteeing the required technical support,” he said.

For his part, the sector vice president of Public Works, Juan Ramírez, highlighted the dedication of the officials. “You accompanied us in Tejerías, in El Castaño and your presence has been fundamental and important to save lives. We want to thank him for that mystique and professionalism,” he said.
