Minister Padrino López: FANB has been planted as a guarantee of democratic and constitutional continuity

The Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, assured that 2025 was the year that forces us to reflect: What would Venezuela be like if violent and anti-democratic factions had triumphed?

“To the joy of our Homeland: We'll never know! Because the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) has been planted as a guarantee of the democratic and constitutional continuity of the homeland. The whole nation will prevail!” , he said through a post on his Telegram channel.

He recalled that the extreme right and its international allies wanted to turn the position of President Nicolás Maduro into a bloodshed.

“What would become of us if the Bolivarian National Armed Forces had allowed coups by states of fascist sectors that sought to take power by force?” , Padrino López asked.

In that regard, the Minister of Defense assured that these anti-democratic factions have not understood that our Constitution is a magna carta for all of us Venezuelans and is there to respect and care for it.

“We cannot allow the return of fascism, nor of neo-Nazism, of peace, here in Venezuela the union has to reign,” he said.
