Minister Piñate exalts the central role of education in the construction of a new country (+march)

During the popular mobilization against Fascism and Violence for a Back to School in Victory and Peace! , this Thursday, the Minister of Popular Power for Labor and Social Security, Eduardo Piñate, praised the central rum of education in the construction of the Venezuelan Power promoted by the Bolivarian Government.

“We are clearly aware that we are building a new era (...) and to build the country that we want, that we think, that we are dreaming for 20, 30, 40 years from now, a central element is education, the educational apparatus and of course workers and workers in education,” said Piñate from one of the concentration points in Caracas.

He stressed that teachers are “the central element because it is the one that connects the project, let's say programmatic theory, with concrete reality, with the student, with the subject that is the People in the territory, in the school”.

Piñate, accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, pointed out that when talking about schools, reference is not only made to physical space or infrastructure. “Nowadays that is very diverse, as a result of new technologies, the emergence of social networks, the role that all that world that is being adapted to, with which we must know how to use and combat when we have to fight,” he added.

The mobilization was called by the National Union of the Unified Teachers Force (Sinafum) and accompanied by the Bolivarian Socialist Central of Workers and Popular Power; with several points in the capital: Plaza Morelos; Parque Carabobo, in front of the Public Prosecutor's Office; Esquina de Corazón de Jesús, Av. Universidad; Esquina el Chorro, Min. Of Science and Technology; Esquina de la Bolsa, on the corner of the Caracas Metro; Vice Presidency, corner of Carmelitas, Avenida Urdaneta and the Ministry of Education.
