The Minister of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, when offering the balance sheet of the Single Housing Registry, reported that 6,980 families have been incorporated into the system, through a deployment that already has 28 care points distributed between temporary camps and affected communities.
From the Republic of Panama transitional camp in the state of La Guaira, reported by Venezolana de Televisión, Posani indicated that, starting with the start of registration on July 13, the day has been successful and has covered all the temporary camps in the state.
He highlighted the effectiveness of the system, whose only requirement is to present the identity card of the head of the family and the members of the family.
He also explained that the Single Housing Registry will be progressively implemented in other states of the country and added that with the support of different entities of the Venezuelan state, the correct verification of the data will be carried out to ensure the reliability of the registration.
For his part, the governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán, pointed out that the registry has been a tool to transmit certainty and trust to protected families that they will soon have their homes.
He reported that the parishes most affected will also be attended to during registration days.
“When families see that QR code they are not just seeing a code; they are seeing the guarantee that the Venezuelan State will give them a new home,” he said.
Terán recalled that currently nearly 12,000 people remain protected in the 28 temporary camps set up in La Guaira, where they receive food, medical care, psychosocial support and comprehensive support while their recovery progresses.
He added that the platform crosses information from the Patria System, the National Electoral Council (CNE), real estate records, land registries and other public bodies, allowing for automatic georeferencing of affected homes and reducing any possibility of fraud.
