The Minister of Popular Power for
Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, held a
meeting this Wednesday with the Negro Miguel, Sarare and El Maizal Communes of Lara
state with the purpose of talking, managing and consolidating important
projects in the area of health and education.
Prado listened to the proposals of the
three communes of the state of Lara, assuring them that he will manage the necessary aid with the different
levels of government, to carry out both health and education works.
“Today in the country we have a
real possibility, based on organization and management, to be able to bring good news
to our Communes. Our people come out with the hope and confidence that
as they manage they will achieve many works with the institutions
to meet their different needs,” he stressed.
At the meeting, the spokeswoman for the Miguel
Negro Commune, Marbella Sánchez, pointed out that the
support that Minister Prado is giving them to complete the Simón Rodríguez Rural
Bolivarian School, located in the Simón Planas municipality, is very important to them.
“Currently about 220 students are
taking classes in classrooms borrowed from other schools, so
we need to finish conditioning more than six classrooms, place the
perimeter fence, finish the retaining wall and put the drains into operation,” he added.
In addition, spokeswoman Angelicar Pérez commented
that for the Sarare Commune it is essential to continue the
rehabilitation of the territory's Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI).
“Although this project is 70% built,
we need financial support to finance the remaining 30% and put the
CDI operational as soon as possible, since this center offers free plate services, laboratory
tests and serves more than 150 people in one day,” he said.
In the same way, Yajaira Sánchez from the El
Maizal Commune thanked the holder of the portfolio for promoting and managing funding to complete the Caballito Outpatient
Clinic. “This important
work, located in the territory of the Mata la Paria Community Council, requires not
only the placement of the perimeter fence but also the placement of concrete in various
parts of the outpatient clinic,” he said.
