Ministries of Science and Health revised the agenda of the National Epidemiological Surveillance Plan

The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, reported that in compliance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, together with the Minister of Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, she revised the sectoral agenda of both offices in order to continue to guarantee the well-being of the People.

In his account on the social network Telegram, Jiménez specified that there is evidence of “significant progress in the National Epidemiological Surveillance and Vector Control Plan for the prevention of diseases such as dengue, malaria, Zika and chikungunya”.

“The last state served this week is Yaracuy with more than 13,000 people benefited,” he said.

Regarding the balance of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission in vertex one, he noted that “the promotion of humanized childbirth and the training diploma for more than 4,000 new vaccinators” is continuing.

Jiménez also noted that “the Global Fund's accompanying visit with UNDP to strengthen care for tuberculosis, HIV and malaria, with significant positive results in this management.”

“We continue to promote the well-being of the Venezuelan people,” he said.
