Around 5,000 roads that will be used for the reforestation of the Turimiquire basin are being developed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism in the state of Anzoátegui.
These are araguaney, samán and flamboyan seeds that are prepared with the help of environmental institutions, educational institutions and environmental groups to carry out the reforestation of the area, according to a local press release.
The regional director of Misión Árbol, María Calma, in the midst of a sports and recreational activity on the Tumba de Bello hill in Barcelona, announced that the date for dispersing the seeds is the first of August.
Volunteers, hand in hand with officials, prepare so-called “life bombs”, an agroecological technique used to disperse seeds in places that are difficult to access, in order to reforest or repopulate degraded areas of middle and upper basins.
