The workers of the Ministry of the People's Power of Water Care (MINAGUAS) in Falcón began the rehabilitation of the South pumping station in the Carirubana municipality.
“This recovery makes it possible to optimize the supply of drinking water for more than 16,000 families in seven areas of Paraguaná: Puerta Maraven, Comunidad Cardón, Bicentenario, Punta Cardón, Los Rosales, Pedro Manuel Arcaya 1 and 2 and Las Mercedes,” says a press release from the institution.
The beginning of the work consisted of the conditioning of the area, the demolition and construction of the base, where a 150 HP pumping equipment will be installed that will provide 80 liters per second to this system, consolidating the four pumping groups needed in that station.
The completion of this rehabilitation will not only strengthen water management in the region, but it will also ensure a substantial improvement in the quality of drinking water service, directly serving different axes of the Paraguaná Peninsula.
