Ministry of Culture and Orchestra System agree on plans to revive Venezuelan music

These actions contribute to the expansion and consolidation of the work carried out by the institution founded in 1975

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, and the executive director of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela, Eduardo Méndez, held a meeting, at which they agreed to relaunch joint plans and projects to stimulate artistic training and the dissemination of Venezuelan musical heritage throughout the national territory.

They also agreed on a series of immediate actions that include the mapping of spaces where a permanent program can be established with the talents of the Orchestra System.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Gabriela Simoza; the Deputy Minister of Audiovisual Culture, Miqueas “Piki” Figueroa; the executive director of El Sistema, Eduardo Méndez; the general director of El Sistema, Herich Sojo; and the director of the Simon Bolivar Conservatory of Music, Ronnie Morales.

These actions contribute to the expansion and consolidation of the work carried out by the institution founded in 1975 by the teacher José Antonio Abreu, whose impact is recognized internationally.
