Last Monday, March 23, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, held a meeting with the president of the Workers' Digital Bank (BDT), Sergio Lotartaro, with the objective of defining mechanisms to strengthen the production and commercialization of national crafts.
During the meeting held at the BDT offices in Caracas, Cazal stressed that this alliance materializes in compliance with the guidelines of the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
“The president gave us some instructions for the presentation of the National Culture Award and today we see the agreements on paper. We are working for our people,” he said.
In this regard, Lotartaro explained that the work route includes holding craft fairs and providing funding to creators in the country, providing tools to enhance their productive capacity.
The meeting was also attended by Aracelis García, president of the Red Art Foundation and national coordinator of the Artisan Heart Movement.
With this initiative, the Venezuelan State reaffirms its commitment to the protection of cultural identity and the promotion of handmade work as an engine of the national economy.
