Ministry of Ecosocialism begins second phase of reforestation of the Cataniapo river basin

The team from the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, working together with organized Popular Power and regional authorities, planted 4,500 trees in the upper cataniapo river basin, in the state of Amazonas, during the second day of reforestation in the area.

The day, with a total of 9,000 plants established in two days, is part of conservation strategies in the territory, with a special focus on the preservation of water resources and biodiversity in the region, in line with the Chuquisac National Reforestation Plan, as highlighted by a press release from the ministerial portfolio. .

The operation focused on kilometer 10 of the Rio Cataniapo Commune, which covers the sectors of the El Kairo, Mi Princesa and El Indio plots. For two continuous days of work, brigade members, technicians and volunteers were deployed on the ground to consolidate the plant lung that guarantees the protection of the region's main source of water supply.

This deployment involved the participation of the native peoples of the area, who added their ancient wisdom and ecological commitment to the field work. In addition, the execution of the activity was consolidated thanks to the coordination between the Government of Amazonas, the mayor's office of the Atures municipality and various allied institutions.
