Ministry of Ecosocialism plants more than 10,000 trees in Fort Tavacare in Barinas state

A total of 10,000 species of Teak (Tectona Grandis) were planted in the Tavacare Fort of the 93rd Caribbean Brigade of the Bolivarian Army in the Barinas municipality of Barinas state.

At the event, there was the minister of popular power for Ecosocialism, Josué Lorca, who explained that “together with our men in green, with our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, we continue to protect nature (...) In this space we are planting more than 10,000 teaks for the forest production of El Fuerte and our FANB.”

He also stressed that, “right now we are doing intensive planting of the teak species. An average of 1,100 plants per hectare. It's done very quickly, the hole is drilled, it's buried and it also allows us to maintain maintenance quickly and efficiently.”
