Ministry of Education announces start of the new school year for September 15

The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, announced that the new school year will officially begin on September 15, while administrative activities will begin on September 8 in all schools in the country.

Rodríguez added that schools will remain open during the vacation period, in order to continue offering the School Eating Plan (PAE), to guarantee access to a balanced diet for students, even outside the academic calendar.

“That doesn't mean that we are not going to respect the sacred time of rest for teachers, but that teachers who wish to do so will stay with us, together with the community,” he clarified.
