Ministry of Health delivers supplies for Mérida's healthcare network

The Ministry of Health delivered a new endowment of 552,000 units of medicines and supplies for the medical and surgical services of the public healthcare network of the state of Mérida, said the head of the Ministry of Health of the Government of that entity, Moraima Salazar.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the reception of the cargo units, sent from national supply centers, took place at the headquarters of the Health Corporation (CORPOSALUD) in Mérida, the entity responsible for the inventory and distribution of medical supplies.

The coordinator of the Community Pharmacy Network in Mérida, Andrés Rodríguez, reported that the registration, monitoring of the distribution and final destination of each medicine and supply will be done through the Simón Bolívar computer system.

“These drugs are going to be distributed to the entire network of hospitals and outpatient clinics,” he said, stressing that the aforementioned computer system has been progressively installed throughout the health network, to optimize the administration of supplies and medicines.
