Ministry of Health held a health care day in the indigenous community Uwa Pedraza (+Apure)

The Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), through the General Directorate of Indigenous, Intercultural Health and Complementary Therapies (DGSIITC), held a day of medical care aimed at the Uwa Pedraza indigenous community, in the Paéz municipality of Apure state.
During the day, 205 indigenous people of the Besuwa ethnic group were treated in different specialties, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Immunization (vaccination), and deworming. In addition, 615 medicines and mosquito nets were delivered free of charge, MPPS media reported.
In addition, agricultural kits and school supplies were delivered by the Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples and the Foundation for the Integral Development of the Apureño Indigenous.
This operation was supported by the Government of the entity, the Apure Autonomous Health Institute, the Guaicaipura Mission, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Institute for Bilingual Intercultural Education.
