Ministry of Health treats children's patients at Páramo Hospital in Mérida

Physicians and surgeons from the National Public Health System (SPNS) performed a surgical day to care for girls and boys in the Rangel municipality of the state of Mérida, in facilities recovered from the Mucuchí Hospital (Type 1), which serves the paramo area.

The governor of Mérida, Arnaldo Sánchez, explained that an inspection and follow-up visit was carried out in the spaces of the “Dr. Francisco V. Gutiérrez” Hospital (Type I), in the Rangel municipality, about 30 kilometers northeast of Mérida, according to the regional press.

Since the activation of the surgical area of this center, in June 2025, 140 surgical interventions have been performed to solve cases in aspects such as general surgery, traumatology, gynecology and pediatric surgery.
