MINPPAL promotes the creation of peasant councils

Within the framework of the commitment to national production and agro-industrial development, the Venezuelan oil and fat commission of the Ministry of Popular Power for Food (MINPPAL) held a meeting to review the formation of peasant councils and proposals for improvements in the sector.
This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Business and Services of MINPPAL, Félix Romero, who stressed that “the current levels were evaluated with the vision of increasing the efficiency and quality of production, as well as providing technical assistance to producers for the optimization of extraction processes.”
The meeting was conducive to reviewing supply mechanisms and ensuring that products arrive in a timely manner to the market and to consumers, several were also presented proposals aimed at improving conditions in the sector, with a focus on sustainability and food sovereignty. “It's a key space for the active participation of producers in decision-making,” he said.
