With a mobilization that began in the Unión Neighborhood, El Carmen
sector, Petare parish, Miranda state, the Community Units of the Militia were activated this Friday, as part of the popular organization for the comprehensive
defense of national sovereignty in the face of incessant imperial threats.
The activity was led by Governor Mirandino, Elio Serrano, who stated that “today we are starting to
organize our communal militia units. This must be extended to
all five thousand 337 communal circuits in the country and from here on I began
that organization that allows us to always have our territories at the forefront,
on alert to the defense of our Homeland,” he said.
On the other hand, he noted that they organized
micro-marches throughout the region with the objective of expressing the willingness of the people to
defend the Homeland, its independence and the Bolivarian Revolution. “We appreciate
very much that our people have taken to the streets with the idea of defending
peace,” said Serrano.
The head of the Antonio José de Sucre Plan,
Pedro Infante, stressed that today the first cycle of activation of the
Communal
Militia Units is being activated in the country's 5,337 communal circuits, as part of the maximum preparation of the Venezuelan people for the defense of the Homeland.
“The imperial enemy has established as its strategy the
maximum pressure for what they call a change of regime, and in the face of
maximum pressure, the maximum preparation of the people for the defense of the Homeland, of
sovereignty, of peace. We don't want or want war, but we are
willing to defend the peace that the people of Venezuela have today,” he said.
Infante also indicated that
military-police-popular fusion is the key concept established by President
Nicolás Maduro for the defense of national sovereignty.
Recently, President Maduro announced the activation of the
Communal Militia Units in the country's Communal Communes and Circuits, in compliance
with the provisions of the Constitutional Law of the Bolivarian National
Armed Forces (FANB).
The purpose of this first activation will be to provide an initial
induction to men and women who have joined the
enlistment process.
