MIRANDA-MARICHE/Cabello: Right now the Revolution guarantees young people a place in universities

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that it is now, with the Bolivarian Revolution, that young people can say that they have a place in universities.

“It is now that the Revolution guarantees young people a place in universities, that was not the case,” said Cabello during a meeting with the JPSUV, at the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership.

In this regard, he stressed that during the Fourth Republic the reason why many young people died in this country was to demand a place in universities. “That's the Fourth one they don't want to see and that they don't remember,” he said.

In addition, he said that in the Fourth, study opportunities were restricted for large sectors of the population, while “in the Revolution, more than 100 universities have been created” to expand access to vocational training throughout the country.

For this reason, he emphasized the importance of reminding young people of history especially, since “a young person who is graduating now believes that this place that he has insurance in the university has always been like that; and we must tell people that this was not the case”.
