As part of the celebration of the 61st anniversary of the declaration of the Mucuchí dog breed as indigenous to Venezuela, the state of Aragua was the scene of an outstanding dog show competition.
Francisco Mijares, coordinator of the Nevado Mission in the state of Aragua, highlighted the quality of the jury present, who had the difficult task of evaluating the participants. “The Mucuchí specimens had a special participation, showing their beauty and unique characteristics,” Mijares said, quoted by the regional press.
For her part, the president of the National Snow Mission, Maigualida Vargas, said she was pleased to have shared with other Mucuchi people who, although they do not belong to the Nevado Mission, are equally loved and respected by their families. This enriches the work we have been doing to achieve international recognition of our native dog breed.
In that regard, he added that “we are super happy with the support of the communities and the love they show for their pets.”
