A total of 1,440 workers in the agricultural sector from all over the country have been trained in the area of Regenerative Agriculture, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, through workshops called “Training for Trainers”, which seek to impart knowledge of this method to those who from each state will be responsible for promoting the management of this form of cultivation.

The activity is part of the Strategic Plan for Agricultural Development 2021-2025 and the Great Mother Earth Mission promoted by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in order to strengthen knowledge and practice of responsible techniques that revitalize Venezuelan soils.

This first phase delves into issues such as soil recovery, the strengthening of biodiversity and the comprehensive management of natural resources. In this regard, the coffee farmer from the state of La Guaira, Cleideys Ramírez, said that “with this training workshop we are proud to seek the exact and perfect balance for the environment and the recovery of our soils”.

For his part, the producer of Caricuao, Rafael Cabrera, stressed that “the workshop is essential to train other sectors, creating the showcase of regenerative agriculture to be applied in all regions of the country”.

This training effort represents a clear commitment by the Bolivarian Government to professionalize rural talent, promote sustainable agricultural practices and move towards food security, environmental conservation and the integral well-being of rural communities.
