More than 150 older adults benefited from the fourth Cataract Surgery Day, promoted by the Bolivarian Government of Aragua.

According to information published on the Instagram account of the Government of Aragua, the beneficiaries were captured in the consultations carried out during health days in the communities and at the San Mateo Geriatric Hospital.

“These days are achieved with the support and provision of supplies from the president, Nicolás Maduro; the governor Karina Carpio and the Misión Milagro Foundation.

In this regard, Dr. Egleé López, director of the Aragua Regional Ophthalmological Center (CORA), explained that this new group of patients are treated comprehensively from general consultation, specialized exams, surgery and post-surgical consultations.

“We continue to work daily to provide attention to all users. We ask for understanding that the demand for patients is always greater than specialized medical capacity, however, we are providing answers to everyone,” explained Dr. López.
