More than 2,000 creators participated in the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, who presented 135 works that addressed issues of great social relevance such as love, family, racism, motherhood and the challenges of youth, said the director of the Festival and member of the National Theater Company, Carlos Arroyo.
“They discussed their themes and scenic spaces on a national scale, and they also specified what are the meeting possibilities and circuits that may exist in the country. In other words, we surpassed 200 groups,” he said.
He indicated that from November 13 to 23 it will be the second stage of the Venezuelan Theater Festival with performances from all the states of the country, plus a series of groups that will also be present. “50 groups for 100 performances, 16 scenic spaces and 10 days of theater in Caracas,” he said.
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, said that on that occasion Asdrúbal Meléndez and Yuma Díaz will be honored.
The success of this first stage is complemented by the participation of community training axes in the performing arts, which marks a milestone in the country's cultural development and contributes to the second phase of the festival, which is shaping up to be even more promising.
