The sectoral vice-president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, published this Monday the official balance of care in the Transitional Camps, installed within the framework of the humanitarian emergency resulting from the two earthquakes that affected the country on June 24.
Through his account on the social network Telegram, the official explained that to date there are 107 temporary camps enabled to house and provide comprehensive care for affected families. The total installed capacity amounts to 25 thousand 64 places, of which 20 thousand 231 people are occupied.
The deployment of these protection areas, which operate mainly in Caracas, Miranda and La Guaira —the state most affected by the earthquakes—, is part of the National Executive's strategy to guarantee housing, food, medical care and social protection to the displaced population.
The publication shows the above-mentioned figures distributed in Caracas and in the states of La Guaira, Miranda and Aragua.
