The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) consolidates its national road education program by reinvigorating School Patrols.
According to information issued by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), this initiative seeks to sow citizen awareness from childhood and to increase respect for traffic regulations in all Venezuelan homes.
In this regard, Luis Granko, president of the INTT, said that to date, more than 300 patrols have been formed and sworn in throughout the country, impacting 5,000 children.
“The training program gives students a broad vision of a range of action that is not limited to schools, but rather turns them into active spokespersons within their families,” he said.
Granko pointed out that in an educational way, minors are given the power to apply symbolic “sanctions” at home, such as an ice cream fine or an outing, if adults do not comply with the rules.
