The deployment of more than 30 kilometers of optical fiber in the Rangel municipality, Mérida state, allowed more than 500 families to be connected to CANTV's Aba Ultra, Aba TV GO and IP Telephony services.

GPON technology, according to a press release, expanded telecommunications coverage in the communities of Mucurubá, Escagüey, La Cruz, San Pedro, San Benito, Cacute, La Becerrera, Durasnal and Granate, where residents are already enjoying Aba Ultra, 100% optical fiber.

Miguel Sulbarán, spokesman for the Technical Telecommunications Board (MTT) “Cacute”, highlighted the impact of this technological improvement on local development. “We are very happy to receive this new service in the La Becerrera sector. It will be of great use to promote the development of this agricultural population in the state of Mérida,” he said.

The expansion of Aba Ultra in the Merida paramo strengthens access to high-speed telecommunications services and contributes to the social and productive development of the beneficiary communities.
