The Gaza government's Media Office reported that more than 70,000 children are being hospitalized for severe malnutrition, and that the global community maintains a “shameful silence” about these crimes.

“More than 3,500 children under five are facing imminent death from starvation, while approximately 290,000 children are on the verge of death,” the note quoted by Telesur detailed.

The Zionist regime in Israel continues to hinder the introduction of infant food, nutritional supplements and any type of humanitarian assistance into the coastal territory.

“At a time when 1.1 million children lack the minimum nutritional requirements to survive on a daily basis, the Israeli occupation is carrying out this crime using hunger as a weapon, in the midst of shameful international silence.”
