More than 80,000 children and adolescents from the state of La Guaira returned to classes this Monday, as part of the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, said the governor of that entity, José Alejandro Terán.
In this regard, in a television contact with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, Terán reported that 90% of the schools of that entity have been rehabilitated to receive these children and young people.
“In La Guaira we have 224 public schools, of which we have rehabilitated 200, thanks to the support of the Military Community Brigades (BRICOMILES),” he said.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Secondary Education, Eloy Sira, during the delivery of the rehabilitation to the Francisco Lazo Martí Bolivarian Integral School in La Guaira, highlighted the importance of reinforcing patriotism in our young people, using the academic environment.
“From school we have to highlight the patriotic values of our country, from school we must make sure that our children and young people have that message through subjects such as history, geography, citizenship, science and mathematics,” he stressed.
