The telecommunications operator Movilnet activated a comprehensive technical and social care plan with the purpose of ensuring the communication of Venezuelan families in the face of the current contingency. As a first measure to support the population, the company maintains nationwide call and text messaging (SMS) services for all its customers.

As part of a joint effort between its Nexos Movilnet ecosystem, PandoLab and 3DLINK Corporation, two mobile radio base units were mobilized to the state of La Guaira. These state-of-the-art stations were specifically located in the areas of Catia la Mar and Caraballeda to offer free Wi-Fi to any device in the area.

Simultaneously, the company is gradually restoring service in the sectors of Pariata, Montesano, Punta de Mulatos, the Historic Quarter of La Guaira and Simón Bolíva r Airport. In addition, the deployment includes the delivery of completely free lines at the facilities of the Maritime University of the Caribbean, in Catia la Mar, to facilitate the constant communication of affected communities.

On the other hand, the Movilnet Volunteers keep their Collection Center active in the Movilnet Tower of El Recreo, which will receive donations from citizens until next Friday, July 3. A committed team is responsible daily for classifying and organizing the collected inputs for subsequent transfer and direct delivery to the most vulnerable sectors.
