MOVILNET is progressively making progress in recovering coverage in La Guaira

After the seismic events of June 24, MOVILNET is making progress in restoring its services through a plan to recover and expand its coverage footprint. Currently, connectivity is guaranteed in 27 radio bases serving locations such as Carayaca, Catia La Mar, Anare, La Sabana, Las Salinas, Las Tunitas, Los Caracas, Osma, Oritapo, Pariata, Punta de Mulato, Todasana and Punta del Tigre, among others.

According to a press release, these actions have made it possible to double signal strength and increase the capacity of simultaneously connected users.

In addition, the mobile operator deployed a telescopic satellite radio base in Playa Grande, specifically designed to replace the physical infrastructure affected by the earthquakes, offering strategic advantages such as expanding voice and data coverage in areas that are difficult to access, reducing dependence on conventional fiber optic links that were damaged and ensuring that the connection remains stable in the face of any contingency.

In the same way, MOVILNET began work to re-establish connectivity at Simón Bolívar de Maiquetía International Airport with the deployment of fiber, Wi-Fi and the incorporation of solutions that improve coverage in domestic and international airport facilities.
